Greek burger

with veggie steaks

  • 1 package of Earth Control Veggie Burgers
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1,5 dl. Greek yoghurt
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Tzatziki: Cut the cucumbers lengthwise and scrape out the kernels with a spoon. Rice the cucumber coarsely, place it in a towel and twisting the liquid away. Stir in the cucumber into yogurt, along with finely chopped garlic, oil, salt and pepper. Allow to soak for 10-15 min.

Veggie steaks: Stir the contents of the bag into 2.5 dl. boiling water. Stir thoroughly and allow to soak for 10 minutes. Form the steaks into 4 large steaks or 6 smaller steaks. Fry in plenty of oil on a pan, approx. 5 min on each side.

Heat the burger buns on the grill. Serve the burgers with tzatziki, veggie steaks, heart salad, chopped cucumber, tomatoes and pickled red onions. Serve the burgers with a glass of cold Greek ouzo.
